It’s the end of this semester, so is our freshmen life. Before entering the university, there are many prospects of college life; let me count it for you. First, to read as much books as I can and absorb knowledge from it instead of browsing randomly is the top priority I have done. I read novels, general artists’ introduction, and some literature. Second, have leisure activities at night, because my family prohibits girls from going out late, so I always want to experience it. I also achieve this prospect by playing basketball and going to club after class.


However, the end of the past stands for the beginning of a new life. I also have some plans and prospects for sophomore, and I list it as follow. First, I must aim what to do in future specifically, because I must find a goal to work for lifetime. Second, face all the ugliness of my selves, and try hard to improve it. It’s important to know what weakness I have, so I can avoid from doing wrong. The last but not least, in order to get along with others in my way, I must form a personal style in humor, living and habits, so that friends will understand me more.

There is no one never getting tired of keeping working or studying. Especially in modern society, people usually take too much pressure without access to relax. However, a popular video on Youtube website can solve this problem, 日和 funny comics. There are many series of 日和 funny comics, which combine Japanese humor with their historical events. It describes historical figures or influential events in irony tone, and its fast cadence, without any blank moment, makes people totally enjoy it. In this way, viewer can not only relax themselves but also absorb some Japanese history.


However, 日和 funny comics are not authorized in Taiwanese market, because it has no main topic for unfolding its stories, and therefore, customers prefer to watch it free on-line rather than buy it. Though we can hardly learn any lessons form it, 日和 funny comics is still a good choice for relax after a long tiring day.

【Life】journal- An influential class

  As usual, I go to a literacy class at random attitude, just like other students. Opening the book, which is put on desk as decoration, and listening to the teacher heedlessly are the common pattern. However, today, lecturer shares his idea which stimulates me to think and breaks all my usual routine. There are three stages to obtain creativity, but Taiwanese children usually ignore one of these stages. The first one is reproduction, which means to mimic others’ ideas. Second stage is imagining, named as association; through the “kuso ideas” of the youngsters, it’s evident that we are excellent in this part. Then, Taiwanese skip the third stage to reach final goal, creativity.


  Which stage do we miss? That is criticality. Due to the cultural environment, our children are adapted to accept whatever teachers say without any doubt. Because of this phenomenon, we lose the ability to criticize and yield to the authoritative statement instead of searching the first-hand data to build up our own thoughts. After listening to this viewpoint, I begin to review my attitude toward everything I learn. “Yes, it’s true.” I talk to myself. Acknowledging this stimulates me to view what we take for granted in other ways. I start to meditate why college students should stay in class? Why professor must stand on platform? And, why I never doubt the analysis in literature textbooks? It’s a new begin to me, and a new sight to see this world.

People are always curious about everything unclear, ranging from stars’ private affairs to the planets in the universe. Take myself for example; I love to know the mysterious things since I was a child, such as Atlantis, the black hole, and aliens. During elementary school, I have browsed many books associated with these things and even joined astronomical club in senior high school. This kind of enthusiasm remains in my mind while seeing the top news in the astronomical field – a new photo catches the critical moment that a fixed star is absorbing a planet!


  I feel totally excited about this news, because this photo is not merely a picture, but also a kind of decisive evidence that proves scientists’ theory. In a nutshell, our hypothesis about absorbing planets is proved and then we can do more and more studies based on this! What a good news to the whole astronomy and human knowledge!

【Life】journal- coming back home

  This week I come back to home because it’s a vital day that my married sister first goes back to home after wedding. During my sister’s marriage ceremony, there is no one without a smile, but we all know that this will be the significant separation between my family and her. This kind of phenomenon stimulates a thought – I should value every moment when I get along with my families, and that’s why I come home so often. Besides, I can learn my families’ knowledge, which will not be taught by others. For instance, my uncle teaches me how to choose stocks, to pursue my dream, and to live in my own style.


  Every time going back to home, I can not only relax myself but also look over my college life. After sharing my living stories with families, I will think many questions. Which part of my life can be improved? What am I doing and based on what purpose? Many people express that going home is a waste of time, but I think it is the best way to build up affections with family members, so does inspect my recent life. In other words, I love coming back home, and it truly benefits me a lot.

【Music】journal- Tokio Hotel

Recently, one youngsters’ band arouses a wild enthusiasm in Europe, called as Tokio Hotel. As a German band, Tokio Hotel can only use simple English words, combining with classical and metal instruments to form their own style. When it comes to its special name, Tokio Hotel, we cannot but be curious about why they name their selves in Japanese way. That is resulted from their love toward the city, Tokio, with their lives of constant touring and living in hotels; this is how their band’s name originated. There are four young people set up this band and attended in the TV music station. With wining the champion, Tokio Hotel soon became the most popular band in German. However, dissidents express that Tokio Hotel should not be considered as so-called music, because they don’t have meaningful lyrics or charming melodies.


In my opinion, the point is whether songs interpret singers’ emotion well or not. If people feel nothing but noisy sound, then the songs are truly useless; In contrast, if we understand but dislike what the song interpret, then these songs are still worth for some people. That is to say, Tokio Hotel is one kind of music band in my mind, but it’s hard for some dissidents to accept them. From the example of Tokio Hotel, we can see that the new, young, innovating style is forming, and stimulates the argument between supporters and dissidents.

【Life】journal- wedding preparation

This week, there is a very important person going to leave my family—my sister’s wedding. As a member of family, I will sit around the entrance helping her receive the cash gift from guests; therefore, my dressing, etiquette, and behavior, which stand for my upbringing, become vital. I go buying a formal suit, accessories, and some cosmetics with my cousin, who also teaches me how to wear suitable. We spend the whole afternoon time on searching for cheap and fine clothes around three department stores.


From this experience, I learn that how to dress myself under the suitable circumstances and how to socialize with elder people. Also, in mental state, I feel the ambivalent emotion about her wedding, combined with blessings and slight sadness. However, I know I will love this wedding just like loving her, and wear my elaborate dressing to join it.
